A PC mouse has two buttons, a left [L] button and a right [R] button. Depressing the left button is refered to as a "left click" depressing the right button is refered to as a "right click".

To "double click" you depress the left button twice in a quick order.
A single "left click" will highlight the icon or folder on the desktop.

A "double click" will launch a program associated with the icon, or open a folder.

A single "right click" will bring up a menu of options that can be used to perform a function on that folder or icon. These options will be discussed later.
